The Osaka District Court issued a sentence in January this year - maximum 3 years and 6 months in prison for the operators of pirate site, “Haruka Yume No Ato.” This site was a so-called leech site where the site itself did not store infringing material, but, instead, collected links to pirate sites. Which acts of the website operator were found guilty in this case? – it appears that this issue was not clearly explained in most of newspaper articles reporting this court decision.
